YouthWorX NT is the project arm of the NT Industry Training Bureau Inc.  It is a not for profit association dedicated to working in collaboration with young people, schools and business, to create strong partnerships, equity and excellence through supporting career development opportunities for all Territorians.

YouthWorX NT in the last twelve months has been in partnership with the NT Government in a number of their initiatives, in some cases taking the leading facilitation role. These events included four of the five DET Careers Expos, The Future Jobs Forum, and two Remote Career Expos on Groote Eylandt and in Jabiru.

Community collaboration and new partnerships have included the development and delivery of the Diversity WISE program on behalf of WISE Employment for people of refugee status who require scaffolded assistance into employment.  In order to meet community need in line with COAG targets we have widened our scope for fee for service delivery.

2011 is extremely exciting for YouthWorX NT in that we will be facilitating Stage 2 of the Diversity WISE program, The DET Careers Expos in August, and an increased interest in our Career and Life Coaching workshops.

The Partnership Brokers program has gained momentum in its first year with valuable relationships being built upon in West Arnhem, East Arnhem, Victoria – Daly and Roper Gulf regions.

YouthWorX NT continues to work with GTNT and collaborate with Secondary Schools for the Workready program.  The `Work Preparation for Apprenticeships’, also known as the `Australian Apprenticeship Access program’ has been extremely successful to date with all participants securing employment and further education opportunities.
