Altitude Day seeks to give leadership development opportunities to the many potential young leaders within our schools who don’t necessarily become the ‘badge wearers’. The day delivers powerful, interactive leadership messages embodied by speakers from our Ambassadors of Leadership program. Our aim is to create inspirational leaders who will leave the day looking to find out how high their potential can take them – empowered to make a difference in school and community. Please feel free to bring one student or your whole cohort. Many schools send a ‘busload’ of potential leaders, who then go back to influence their peers.

With a philosophy that ‘leadership is any action that makes the world I touch a better place’, we have sought intentionally to place in front of your students ordinary people (mostly young), doing extraordinary things. We want them to be inspired by the difference our Ambassadors of Leadership have made to their local or global community and walk away questioning “if this ‘ordinary’ person can do it, why can’t I choose to?” Many of our Ambassadors have been nominated as Young Australians of the Year so are wonderful role models.
With schools from each Altitude Day region sending their potential quality leaders, this day becomes something more than an ordinary leadership day. With every student wanting to be there the energy in the room is incredible and the networking opportunity this affords to the students is invaluable. The connection with other schools and leaders can create a real youth leadership presence in YOUR community!
