YouthWorX NT Farewell
When opportunity knocks, as individuals we have the choice to open the door or keep it closed. An opportunity has knocked for myself, of which I have decided to open the door.
The decision to leave YouthWorX NT has been a difficult one to say the least; however the exciting appointment of Elizabeth Reid (currently the National Disability Coordination Officer NT – Charles Darwin University) as the new Executive Officer will ensure a smooth transition into the role commencing Monday, 10 May 2010.
Since January, 2006 I have watched YouthWorX NT expand its wings and grow further into a proactive and effective service provider not only in Darwin, but across the Northern Territory. Commencing with 3 personnel at this time, our dynamic team has continued to grow in capacity and expertise to a current team of 14 individuals.
YouthWorX NT has had a immense impact on my life and provided me with multiple opportunities, not only in the professional development sense and the building of relationships and networks; but it has also provided me with the opportunity to meet and work with some very professional and extraordinary individuals, as well as the opportunity to support local youth, businesses, industries and schools.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those outstanding and dedicated individuals and organisations who have proactively supported YouthWorX NT over the past few years, to work in partnership to support Territorian youth.
What will I be doing you ask? Well I am packing my bags to head across to Northern Ireland and start a new adventure and life on the Emerald Isle.
With regards,
Natasha Angelo
Executive Officer
